The Infinity Quartet

The Infinity Quartet combines many 20th century styles to create a unique, new hybrid. Coming from the jazz tradition, the Quartet's music could not really be called jazz by today's labeling standards. All of the music played by the group are original compositions by Evan Wilson. Injecting a healthy dose of African rhythmic sensibility (and guitar playing) into modern classical and modern jazz formal structures, the music explores what it means to live in a truly globalized world.

Autophagy

A play that compacts a very complex series of events and emotions into 20 minutes that include among other things: an android, the revelation of a life-changing event, live music, violence against a doll, demonstration of an abusive relationship, and an offstage tragedy that changes everything. Written by Sean Graney and directed by Joanie Schultz. Premiered at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex as part of Directorfest 2007.

Dance

Recently, Evan composed music for the Sasha Soreff Dance Company.

Sasha's piece, "If You Can't Get There From Here...Stand Still" is a collaborative effort, combining music and choreography into a singular concept. See the news/calandar page for specific performances.

Video will be posted soon but, for now, you can listen to the music.
